The Process

01

File setup

White ink and metallic channels are set up as separate spot colour layers in your file. We review the artwork and advise on channel setup before printing.
02

Underbase or overprint

White ink can be printed as an underbase (under CMYK on dark stock), as a standalone, or as an overprint highlight. We advise the best approach for your design.
03

Print

White and metallic inks are printed in a single pass on our specialist digital press. Consistent coverage and sharp edges — no screen printing required.
04

Trim & check

Sheets are trimmed and inspected for coverage uniformity. White ink on very dark stocks may require a double-pass for full opacity — we'll advise.
