The Process

01

Artwork prep

Your foil area must be supplied as a separate vector layer — 100% black where foil should appear. No gradients or halftones in the foil layer.
02

Die making

A metal or photopolymer die is made from your artwork. This die holds the exact shape of your foil area and is mounted on the press bed.
03

Foil application

Heat and pressure transfer foil from a carrier roll onto the substrate. The foil bonds permanently wherever the die makes contact.
04

Quality check

Each sheet is inspected for complete foil coverage, sharp edges, and consistent adhesion. Any misses are pulled before finishing.
